Hi, it looks like this place has gone a bit quiet, so maybe I'll be the first fresher to come over all keen. My name's Lois, I'm from North London and have been patrolling the rock/ska/punk scene around there. My second home is the Camden Underworld, though I don't know if any of you guys know it. Fav band is the mighty 'A'. They are playing the 02 Oxford (it'll always be the Zodiac to me!) in November, so I'm doubly delighted I made my offer. Well, also keen to see Skindred and Sonic Boom Six (again). Oh, and I'm supposed to be studying Russian and German at St Edmund Hall (so will be listening to Distemper and Rammstein ) Hello everyone ;D

Heya,
I've just left Oxford so you may not bump into me but I might make it back for a night or two.
Camden Underworld is awesome have seen loadsa gigs myself. It's probably my favourite venue. Of course you can easily go see London gigs from Oxford as the Oxford Tube bus service is only about £10 return and runs throughout the night.

Aah another Camden Underworld fan, good times I'm already a big fan of the Oxford Tube - it is epically good.

Hi Lois, i'm Joe (or ironfist) and am currently on the RockSoc committee. This place has been a little quiet of late... but come term time we should see some more action! Overly keen freshers are exactly what this society needs! thats what i was during my first year and i had a lot of fun and met loads of new people who liked good music. You should definitely check out RockSoc at freshers' fair during freshers' week, and you should be able to keep up with all rock stuff happening in oxford. We'll be advertising gigs during the term so there should be plenty of rocksoc people going to see those gigs!
see you in freshers week!
